Embra Law, by Embra
A professional relationship network built for law.
Embra Law connects law students with attorneys who have chosen to mentor. Students find the right person, ask in writing, and keep the conversation going once the attorney accepts.
Free for students and attorneys. On iPhone and the web.

The problem
Talent is distributed widely. Access is not.
Most legal careers are shaped by a handful of early conversations. Who gets them often depends on where a student studies and who they already know.
Networks follow geography
Students near large legal markets meet attorneys early. Many others never get the first conversation.
Cold outreach rarely works
Students do not know who is open to helping. Attorneys who want to help receive messages they cannot sort.
Early guidance shapes careers
Which school, which summer job, which practice area: these decisions go better with someone who has made them.
Who it is for
Two sides of one relationship.
Students
Law students and people preparing for law school who want guidance from someone already in the profession.
Attorneys
Practicing attorneys, confirmed with their state bar, who want to help the next generation on their own terms.
How it works
From the right person to a real conversation.
What students and attorneys can do in the app today.
Step 1 of 5
Find attorneys who chose to mentor.
Search by name, firm or practice area, and filter by practice area or by who is open to mentoring. Many attorneys come with a plain reason they may fit, such as a practice area you said you are interested in or a law school you share.

Step 2 of 5
Know who you are asking before you ask.
Attorney profiles show their practice, experience, education and the topics they can help with.

Step 3 of 5
Start with a thoughtful request.
Students write a short note about who they are and what they hope to learn. A limit on open requests keeps outreach considered, and the attorney decides whether to accept.

Step 4 of 5
Requests arrive in one place, on your terms.
Attorneys review each request and accept or decline. They set how many students they mentor and can stop accepting new requests whenever they need to.

Step 5 of 5
Talk once both sides say yes.
When an attorney accepts, both people can message each other in the app. Every conversation carries a standing note that mentorship is not legal advice.

Why relationships
One conversation can change the next decision.
Careers in law move through people: the attorney who explains what a practice area is really like, who reviews a plan, who suggests the next person to talk to.
Embra Law makes that first conversation easier to begin and easier to continue, for students who do not already have those connections and for attorneys who want to offer them.
Trust
Professional by design.
What Embra Law does today to keep relationships professional.
Professional identity
Before an attorney can accept requests, the Embra team confirms their bar admission with the state bar or licensing authority.
Consent on both sides
A conversation starts only when an attorney accepts a student's request. Attorneys can decline, and students choose who they ask.
Participation controls
Attorneys set how many students they mentor and can stop accepting new requests. Students have a limit on open requests, so outreach stays considered.
Privacy
Embra does not sell personal information. Members can delete their account from the app.
Reporting
Anyone can report a problem, block or mute another member. Community guidelines set the expectations for both sides.
Support
A real team answers at support@myembra.com. Conversations carry a standing note that mentorship is not legal advice.
