  • Attorneys decide which requests to accept and how many students to mentor

How it works

How professional relationships move careers forward.

Every step is meant to answer two questions: who should I know next, and what should I do next. Here is what works today and what we are still building.

  1. Step 1: Career direction

A student says where they are headed: the kind of law, the place, and what they want help with.

    In development

  2. Step 2: Relevant person

Discover shows attorneys who chose to mentor, often with a plain reason one may fit, such as a practice area you said you are interested in or a law school you share.

    Available today

  3. Step 3: Introduction

The student sends a short written request. The attorney reads it and decides whether to accept.

    Available today

  4. Step 4: Conversation

Once a request is accepted, both people can message each other in the app.

    Available today

  5. Step 5: Meaningful relationship

The conversation continues on both sides, at a pace both people set.

    Available today

  6. Step 6: Useful next step

Home suggests one next step. Fuller guidance on what to do next is part of what we are building.

Partnerships

Built with the institutions that shape legal careers.

Schools and firms bring Embra Law to their students and attorneys, with the Embra team helping plan and run each program.

For law schools

Expand professional access beyond the classroom.

Give students verified attorney mentors beyond your school's own network, with a written summary for your career office.

For law firms

Build meaningful relationships with emerging legal talent.

Your attorneys mentor students early, through structured requests they choose to accept.

Sponsorship

Connect your organization with the next generation of the legal community.

Sponsors fund scholarships, events and career access for students. Each program is agreed in a written proposal, labeled as sponsored, and reported on in writing. Sponsorship never changes which attorneys students see.

Trust

Built for a profession that runs on trust.

What Embra Law does today to keep professional relationships professional.

  • Professional identity

Before an attorney can accept requests, the Embra team confirms their bar admission with the state bar or licensing authority.

  • Consent on both sides

A conversation starts only when an attorney accepts a student's request. Attorneys can decline, and students choose who they ask.

  • Participation controls

Attorneys set how many students they mentor and can stop accepting new requests. Students have a limit on open requests, so outreach stays considered.

  • Privacy

Embra does not sell personal information. Members can delete their account from the app.

  • Reporting

Anyone can report a problem, block or mute another member. Community guidelines set the expectations for both sides.

  • Support

A real team answers at support@myembra.com. Conversations carry a standing note that mentorship is not legal advice.

Embra Law is not a legal advice service and does not promise jobs, internships, admissions or a reply from any attorney. No attorney-client relationship is formed through it.

Impact

How Embra measures impact.

We count relationships, not downloads. These are the measures Embra uses to judge its work. We have not published results yet, and we will not show numbers here until they are real and checked.

  • Substantive relationships

A relationship counts when both people accepted it and both wrote to each other within 30 days. A profile view or an unanswered message does not.

  • Useful next steps

Whether a conversation led somewhere concrete for the student, such as a second conversation, an event or a clearer plan.

  • Participation

How many students and attorneys take part, and whether attorneys keep taking requests over time.

  • Program delivery

For schools, firms and sponsors, whether Embra delivered what the written proposal agreed.
